Credit Repair Frequently Asked Questions

FBI: CPN NUMBER & SCN NUMBER

In the FBI Website (FBI.GOV) there is info about CPN Numbers that will tell you a CPN IS LEGAL. “Credit Privacy Numbers(CPNs) are nine-digit file numbers that follow the same algorithm as Social Security Numbers(SSNs) Currently, federal law allows individuals to legally use CPNs for financial reporting purposes and protect those individuals who do not wish to disclose their SSN. Individuals who acquire CPNs are completely responsible for any debt they incur using this number.”
http://www.fbi.gov/stats-services/publications/mortgage-fraud-2008

FEDERAL LAW: CPN NUMBER & SCN NUMBER

Remember the SCN & CPN is solely for credit purposes only. Currently, federal law allows individuals to legally use CPNs for financial reporting purposes and protect those individuals who do not wish to disclose their SSN. Individuals who acquire CPNs are completely responsible for any debt they incur using this number.” Federal Law allows a person to legally utilize a private ID number for financial reporting intentions instead of his social security number.

Credit Bureaus aren’t legally required to see the SSN of a person. One has the right to keep his SSN private and not rebuffed due to his refusal. Credit Bureaus aren’t government agencies, so the applicant does not have to give them his SSN.

SO this means that those who do not want to disclose their personal information, except when they’re required to do so, are protected by federal law.

RULES OF THE ROAD

Don't mix your old information and new information used with creditors, cable, utilities, bank, etc. When using CPN OR SCN Ur new credit profile credit information should be utilized the same way every time you apply for credit.

Don't after you received your new CPN OR SCN and get over excited and apply for everything you can think of applying for. Building credit takes time. Plus 10% of your Credit Score is based on the number of inquiries on your credit file. Apply for one credit card at a time. When you get one stop applying. Receive the card, use it, and pay the bill. DO NOT USE MORE THAN 30% of the available credit. Do this for two billing cycles. NOW apply for credit card number two.

Don't use the same old credit companies or references you have used in the past on any application. Don't ever use any old information when utilizing your new credit profile. This could possibly merge your credit file with your social security and it is not reversible. Use only the information that you are provided on your reminder card(your new credit profile information) when applying for credit.

When it comes to the FICO score, any new credit file which is automatically created by the bureaus computer will be blank and you will need to reestablish credit to it by applying for a credit card or other credit lines under the law.

REMEMBER..

Building credit the right way is hard work, so do it right…slowly and over time. Your CPN can be offered in place of your Social Security number. THIS IS NOT A SECOND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. YOU ARE LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISUSE OF YOUR CPN. It will not replace your current social security. Your CPN will be assigned to you to establish credit only.

You will continue to use your Social Security number for employment taxes state benefits and for your driver’s license. Additionally, you are still liable for any debts you incurred on your Social Security Number.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY AGREEMENTS YOU MAKE USING YOUR CPN

Why do I have to Authorise my Reader, and how do I Authorise?

In order to read secure Adobe DRM protected eBooks, you need to Authorise your Reader software prior to downloading the ebook. The process of Authorising identifies you as the rightful owner of the ebook and is a security measure to protect the copyright of the ebook.

Can I download eBooks on to my hand held device?

What tax do I pay?

If your government requires us to do so, we will add applicable sales tax to your purchase price. The tax might be called Sales Tax, GST or VAT, depending on your country. Tax is normally included in the price of the ebook, or it will be calculated at checkout. (Or it will be left off in cases where ebooks are exempt from tax.)

As we need to comply with the tax systems of multiple countries it can get a bit complicated, but we have tried to display exactly what tax you have to pay in the simplest and most transparent fashion.

Simply put, if sales tax is applicable, it will be clearly shown at checkout.

What if I am purchasing for my company and we want to reclaim our tax?

Once the transaction has taken place we’ll send you a tax invoice. This can be used by a company to have the tax refunded. For our part, regardless of whether you’re an individual or an organization, you’ll need to pay the price of your purchase including any taxes. If you’re an exempt individual or organization, you can use our tax invoice to claim back the tax from your taxing authority.

As a company, does dolphinbooksandmore.com pay its fair share of tax?

Yes. dolphinbooksandmore.com is an ethical, independent company based in our home country, United States. We do not have buildings full of lawyers weaving elaborate tax evasion strategies to the detriment of local communities. We do not have a labyrinthine corporate structure whose sole purpose is to evade our corporate and community obligations. We don’t pretend to work from Luxembourg or the Cayman Islands. We get on with the job. We do our best, honestly and transparently.

Why does my ebook have fewer pages than advertised?

It is quite common for the page count of your ebook to be less than the number listed on the book’s product page. For instance the product page might say 384 pages, but the PDF is 324 pages!

We are not trying to be intentionally disingenuous and want to avoid any disappointment you might feel if this happens to you with your ebook purchase, so below are the reasons why this could be the case.

It raises the question "Well the PDF is meant to be an exact page for page copy of the printed book, why would that ever be different?"

The most common reason is that sometimes the publisher will include the acknowledgements, prelims, or table of contents in the page count, even though they are not strictly in the page count (they are normally numbered using roman numerals). This inflates the number of pages and gives an inaccurate page count.

Also, when preparing a printed paper book the publisher needs to make the page count divisible by 4 for the printer. So blank pages will be added to pad the book out in order to create the right page count. However for ebook PDFs these pages are not needed and can be removed (although not all publishers remove them).

Finally, sometimes the page count that the publisher gives us is just plain wrong. Often publishers will record the page count for a book when they receive the manuscript from the author. After editing and typesetting and the rest of the production process the finished page count can be quite different. But the publisher may forget to update the page count on their system, meaning we get sent incorrect data.

To sum up: No matter what page count your ebook displays, you are still receiving the same amount of words. There is still the same amount of content and nothing is being lost in the transition from printed book to ebook, regardless of format.

Can I buy a class set of ebooks, to use in class?

The answer is yes, but you must purchase 1 copy per student.

Tradeline Frequently Asked Questions

Tradeline Frequently Asked Questions

Primary tradelines have always meant one thing: an account on a credit report for which the primary account holder is listed as the primary account holder. This is in contrast to piggybacking off of seasoned tradeline, where the account history reports on the authorized user’s credit report (as an authorized user… not a primary account holder). Some time after the FICO ’08 myth, people thought that “primary” tradelines were “better” than authorized user tradelines. More importantly, they thought you could buy primary lines and add them to credit reports the same way as authorized user lines. Both thoughts are wrong.

WHERE CAN I BUY PERSONAL PRIMARY TRADELINES?
Again, the real question is, “is it in your best interest to purchase primary tradelines?” You can get primary tradelines for free by applying to a bank that tend to give you a chance, like capital one and chase bank. There are too many scams out there concerning primary tradelines, so it is not even worth it to search out a legitimate source… the legitimate sources are usually buried beneath a sea of propaganda and shady businesses. Get primary tradelines from a bank, and boost your credit score with authorized user tradelines from us.

IS IT LEGAL TO BUY PRIMARY TRADELINES?
Unfortunately, we cannot give legal advice, and this answer should not be construed as to us giving legal advice, but there answer is “yes” and “no”. The way in which you obtain the primary tradelines is the determining factor of legality. Buying primary tradelines that were created out of the thin air could definitely be illegal, and there are companies out there that actually do this. However, assuming a pre-existing primary account or becoming a joint account holder and then removing the other account holder are technically legal ways to have primary tradelines. As stated above, there is no reason to jump through these hoops when you can simply get your own primary tradelines for free, legally.

CAN I PURCHASE PRIMARY TRADELINES?
The real question is, do you want to purchase or buy primary tradelines when you can get them for free? You can get some capital one credit cards and / or chase bank credit card with zero credit or even bad credit. Just get your primary lines for free (and don’t buy them), then boost your credit score with authorized user tradelines.

WHICH IS BETTER, AUTHORIZED USER TRADELINE OR PRIMARY TRADELINE?
There is no cut and dry answer to this questions, so we will discuss both primary and authorized user tradelines. First of all, the question is more appropriately posed like this: “what do I need, authorized user tradelines or primary tradelines?” The first concept to acknowledge is whether you need primary tradelines or authorized user tradelines. Primary tradelines are beneficial to your credit score when you have a lack of them. If you don’t have any credit cards in your name, authorized user tradelines can only help so much. On the other hand, if you have a few credit cards that are young, have low limits, etc., tradelines for sale can help place a longer credit history on your report and decrease your debt to credit ratio. Again, it just depends what you need. Call us and we can discuss your specific credit situation.

WHAT DOES PRIMARY MEAN IN PRIMARY TRADELINES?
For all the confusion on the internet, the term primary tradeline is literal. It literally means a line of credit that is yours, primarily. This means, it is not a joint account or an authorized user account. Every line of credit is a primary tradeline for the primary account holder. Auto loans, credit cards, mortgages, these are all lines of credit that are primary for the primary borrower. Authorized user or joint accounts exist when the primary holder of an account lists you as an authorized user or a joint account holder.

DO SEASONED PRIMARY TRADELINES EXIST?
Yes, technically, seasoned primary tradelines exist. However, that is to say a primary account holder with an account opened years ago, has a seasoned primary tradeline. If you are searching for seasoned primary tradelines, then you are most likely looking to add seasoned primary tradelines to your credit report to boost your score. Adding primary tradelines is much more complicated than adding an authorized user tradeline. Stated gently, it is very difficult to sell primary tradelines… legally. Secondly, it is very hard to sell seasoned primary tradelines in a profitable way… so ask yourself why a company would or could exist considering these two limiting factors. There are legal ways to do it and to make money, so I am not suggesting that everyone out there selling primary tradelines is a scam artist, but it is very difficult and we cannot recommend a single source for this process (and we have looked into it). You are better off buying seasoned authorized user tradelines, and save yourself the time and energy. At the end of the day, if you need a primary tradeline, just get your own for free, and boost your score with authorized user tradelines.

Auhtorized User Tradeline Frequently Asked Questions

Authorized User Tradelines
Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT ARE TRADELINES?
Trade lines are a great tool to use, but they promote a lot of questions. This is a great FAQs page to visit prior to diving into some of the more complicated areas of trade lines. If you have any other questions, please see other categories of trade lines to the right of this text or contact us. According to experian.com a trade line is an entry by a credit grantor to a consumer’s credit history maintained by a credit reporting agency. A tradeline describes the consumer’s account status and activity. Tradeline information includes names of companies where the applicant has accounts, dates accounts were opened, credit limits, types of accounts, balances owed and payment histories.

Authorized user tradelines mean only one thing: credit card revolving accounts onto which an individual is added as an authorized user. “Tradelines” are the accounts listed in a credit report, such as mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, etc. An “authorized user” is a person which is given access to the account as a user, but who is not responsible for balance. While this is the definition, the term “authorized user tradelines” has become synonymous with a credit enhancement technique where people – like you – can pay to be added as an authorized user for the sole purpose of having the history associated with that account appear on the authorized user’s account. This – if the account is in good standing – can drastically improve the authorized user’s credit standing.

WHAT ARE AUTHORIZED USER TRADELINES?
Authorized user tradelines are typically revolving lines of credit on which someone places another as an authorized user account holder. The tradeline then appears on the users credit report. It is called an “authorized user,” because the person added is merely authorized to use the credit card, but has no obligation of repayment. In addition, the authorized user inherits, so to speak, the previous payment history and characteristics of the account established by the primary card holder. This is why credit scores can increase when a person is added as an authorized user to an account in good standing (and why credit scores can decrease if that same person is added to an account in bad standing).

HOW LONG DO AUTHORIZED USER TRADELINES TAKE TO POST OR REPORT?
I never understood how companies can claim to have lines report within a specific time… on the basis of fact, that makes no sense. The truth is, each tradelines reports once per month. So, if you order a tradeline on the 1st and it reports on the 20th, that tradeline is going to post in 20 days. The only time takes longer to post is in the scenario that you order a tradeline too close to the report date and you have to wait until the next reporting cycle (1 months plus a few days, give or take). So, if you order a tradeline, it should be on your report within 30 days, tops. If the tradelines does not post within 30 days, then the company either dropped the ball or there is something wrong with your credit report (security freezes, fraud alerts, etc.).

DO AUTHORIZED USER TRADELIENS (STILL) WORK (IN 2017)?
Yes, despite all the propaganda about FICO 08, credit bureaus, etc., authorized user tradelines still work and we do this every single day. We wrote here about whether or not tradelines still work, and here about the myths surrounding FICO 08. You can read about tradelines all day long and your head will spin with all the different opinions out there. The best way to determine if it works is to buy a tradeline and find out yourself. What if it does not and you lose money? We have a $10,000.00 surety bond and a trust account… if the tradelines do not post, you get your money back of file a claim against our bond… no other company in the Country offers this kind of guarantee.

WHAT ARE SOME REASONS AUTHORIZED USER TRADELINES DO NOT POST?
What are some of the reasons authorized user tradelines do not post?’]Authorized user tradelines are tricky, which, by the way, makes it is worth it to purchase them from an experienced company in this field, like Superior Tradelines, LLC. There are many reasons authorized user tradelines do not report to credit bureaus, which include the bank of the tradelines, the type of credit line at the bank, whether or not the primary user and authorized user share the same name or the same address, etc. There are many more reasons why they tradelines refuse to post on an authorized users credit report, and we have yet to encounter a scenario in which we were unable to get the tradeline to post correctly. Call us for more details.

Consumer Credit File Rights Under State And Federal Law

You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. However, neither you nor any "credit repair" company or credit repair organization has the right to have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. The credit bureau must remove accurate, negative information from your report only if it is over 7 years old. Bankruptcy information can be reported for 10 years.

You have a right to obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit bureau. You may be charged a reasonable fee. There is no fee, however, if you have been turned down for credit, employment, insurance, or a rental dwelling because of information in your credit report within the preceding 60 days. The credit bureau must provide someone to help you interpret the information in your credit file. You are entitled to receive a free copy of your credit report if you are unemployed and intend to apply for employment in the next 60 days, if you are a recipient of public welfare assistance, or if you have reason to believe that there is inaccurate information in your credit report due to fraud.

You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organization Act. This law prohibits deceptive practices by credit repair organizations.

You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it.

Credit bureaus are required to follow reasonable procedures to ensure that the information they report is accurate. However, mistakes may occur.

You may, on your own, notify a credit bureau in writing that you dispute the accuracy of information in your credit file. The credit bureau must then reinvestigate and modify or remove inaccurate or incomplete information. The credit bureau may not charge any fee for this service. Any pertinent information and copies of all documents you have concerning an error should be given to the credit bureau.

If the credit bureau's reinvestigation does not resolve the dispute to your satisfaction, you may send a brief statement to the credit bureau, to be kept in your file, explaining why you think the record is inaccurate. The credit bureau must include a summary of your statement about disputed information with any report it issues about you.

The Federal Trade Commission regulates credit bureaus and credit repair organizations. For more information contact:
